Classes were good today. We actually started covering chemistry topics in Chemistry (as opposed to units and significant figures and everything else you learn in the first week). No good demonstration from her, but the teacher in class before lit magnesium crystals in a block of dry ice! Spectacular! OOP was pretty cool as well -- McQuain talked about operator overloading. No spec released yet, though.

My Chem homework sucked. Not that it was hard or anything, but it was tedious and time-consuming and dull. Ugh.

Spiel more than made up for it, however. Wished [livejournal.com profile] nixve a happy birthday (I felt kinda bad at the time, since I spammed her with e-cards -- Hallmark's server was wonky), then played Drakon with [livejournal.com profile] zerblinitzky, Adam, and Carl (new guy). That, however, was nothing compared to Bang!, a Spaghetti Western card game that's played a lot like Werewolf -- there's a Sheriff, a Deputy, Outlaws, and the Renegade. The Sheriff and the Deputy are trying to kill the Outlaws. The Outlaws are trying to kill the Sheriff. The Renegade is trying to kill everybody (which means that he's also a target of everybody else). You shoot people in range, they can try to dodge or duck behind barrels, they regain HP by drinking beer, and they can pull out cards like Indians or the Gatling Gun to make everyone feel the hurt. It's a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the English translation is rare, which is a shame, since I would buy the game in a New York minute. I highly recommend it.

I'm feeling good right now. I have my first Chem lab tomorrow, as well as VTSFFC. Oh, and my first Multivar quiz. Whee...

Edit: Apparently, Mayfair has Bang! on their website for 10 bucks. Hmm...
