I'm sorry.

The last two times I've posted about my adventures in Discrete Math, I have been corrected by many of my peers. I have realized now what you are all trying to get me to understand: that logic, at least in the mathematical sense, has no tangible connection with English. I apologize for saying otherwise. I hereby concede that you are all right and I am wrong, as far as this is concerned.

I hope you all can still respect me after my exposure to you all as an illogical and irrational moron. I can at least promise that I'll not post about Discrete Math again unless I'm sure that I'm in the right.

edit: I've calmed down a bit since I posted this, so the struck statement is no longer relevant.

Some other things happened today. Got my DND 3.5 Core Books, my other big splurge from my summer money. I've begun to read them to 1) get a better sense of what the actual rules are without having to intuit them and 2) to see what changes occurred in v3.5. I'm thinking about doing a one-shot DND campaign for Invisifest. It wouldn't be a great creative work of art, mind you, but if it exposes people to the game it would fulfill its purpose. Comments?

Multivariable was hopeless. Prather spent most of his time trying to justify his existance instead of actually teaching the class (He asks "Who in here is taking Statics?" every class, for example). If he stays like this, I don't know what I'm going to do. He may be easy and absentminded, but he'll never prepare me for the final (or for using this stuff in real life, for that matter) at this rate. At this point, I have no recourse but to plod on. But I'm not sure about this.

My Discrete Math homework was somewhat less confusing. It had logic problems to solve. Parts of it were still moronic, but I think I did well on it. Also figured out how to weigh a giraffe, so maybe Brown won't have my ego for lunch in class. We'll see.

Other than that, I did my laundry today. Whee. Now, I shall read.
