Happy 4th, everybody!

In recent news:

• Cheap keyboard that came with my computer is starting to be flaky, so I did what I've wanted to do but lacked an excuse to do it and got a Model M from eBay.
• robertliguori and I have talked about what we want to do for the room next year (per my mom's mandate to get everything about my college life squared away before the end of July). Carly was also on IM, and called me "deliciously unassuming". Hmm.
• Decided to work today, and get some more money for that laptop. Mom persuaded me to come into work with her in the early morn (I'm writing this from work), with her sole argument being, "The buses don't run today." Persuasive.
• For the first time in recent memory, the Johnsons, whose eldest son I've known since elementary school, will be conspicuously absent during the Independence Day festivities here in Charlottesville. It probably won't feel right, as I typically hang out with him during the fireworks instead of listening to Mom fight with my adopted sister. But this year I'll have to deal with it.

Other than that, it's been pretty uneventful. Aside from one time when I scared the crap out of Mom and the annoyances of the office, it's been pretty quiet.

And now, it's back to work I go.

Whee...

On break right now. Things slow. Spent half the morning reading the paper. I expect the rest of the day to be about as slow.

This is the most money I've ever been paid for doing nothing. That's a good thing, mind you...
