Jun. 9th, 2003 12:40 amThe production today was rough. Erin, our stage manager, was leaving us to go to San Diego with her family (she's soon to be a high school graduate), so Fay (the drama teacher at my old high school, and the props mistress) was set to replace her. Today's performance was spent learning her cues. She irked me with the following:
- She screwed up two SFX cues in the middle of the play. There was a phone ringer and a doorbell she worked; she rang the phone too early, and then rang the phone when she should've rang the doorbell.
- She hogged the radio frequency talking us (the lights person and me) about what to do during our cues; which we know anyway, we just need her to cue us to do them. As if we didn't know what we were doing.
- She yelled at Erin. Totally out of line, as Erin was still stage director.
- She has picked me to be her secretary/errand boy. I could not take a break during cleanup since there was always something that she thought of that needed done, and she picked me to do them. Ugh.
And I still have one more weekend of her. I miss Erin already.
