I made a poem.

Slicked-back corporate execs maiming works of art, altering them to bland banality to sell more trinkets and toys;
Construct, construct!
Bulldozers brazenly blanking big plots of land, forming forests into fast food and clothing stores;
Consume, consume!
Hockey moms driving their spawn-laden SUVs to Mall-Wart for another fix of cheap Chinese child-made tchotchkes and cheesy gadgets they don't need;
Campaign, campaign!
Old rich men standing before silent audiences, saying how much they like each other while ignoring the world;
Conform, conform!
Young revolutionaries scared into forsaking progress and change for the Lesser of Two Evils;
Lament, lament!
People wailing in dismay as the Earth changes around them, the Sun scorching, the Water drowning, the Earth burying, and the pleas being ignored;
Forsake, forsake!
Old people thumbing their noses at the young for daring to break ranks and be different, trying to consign them to obscurity;
Cry out, cry out!
Beautiful people screaming into the wind, trying to legalize uniqueness;
Cry out, cry out!
Angry people standing like a rock against the stream of normalcy, holding on to what they are;
Cry out, cry out!
You and me, being ourselves in a sea of sameness.
