Potpourri of recent and future events
Jun. 2nd, 2004 01:06 amWow. It's been a while since I've posted.
Well, I'm sad to report that nobody's missed much, as I haven't done much that's been noteworthy in the last couple of weeks. For the most part, I've been at home, watching much of my mom's recently acquired DVD collection. I've watched the second season of The West Wing and the first season of Andromeda, which is pretty good. Of course, this also means my productivity has been shot for the last few weeks. OTOH, I did accomplish something that I've been meaning to do for a while now(not telling...yet...).
At the same time, I've continued my search for a job. I've applied for a job at pretty much everywhere I've thought I could get one. Mom also made me apply for an intern position at the local office of a defense contractor. Apparently, it worked, since they've called me for a two-hour interview on Monday morning. The morning interview worries me. But the fact that it's two hours worries me even more. What possible reason could an interview take two hours? I guess I'll find out on Monday.
June is going to be a busy month for me. I'm currently at Grandma's right now for Mom's annual "vacation" (read: us sitting around Grandma's house with Mom gossiping about everything under the sun while I slowly get bored). So far, I've been to dinner out a lot and I've been to my aunt's twice. I've also been dragged to the mall, where Mom and Grandma went through every craft and fabric store in NE West Virginia. The one thing that made it bearable was the fact that I found a used copy of Soul Calibur II for cheap and they bought it for me.
But as to this month being busy...I'm leaving Grandma's on Sunday, then going to my interview on Monday, then heading from there right to the bus to Williamsburg to spend some time with robertliguori and
tadakimacun. After a week, I head back home, work or whatever for a week and a half, then head down to Blaxtiansburg to grab a ride to Origins. Which reminds me...
uilos, if you're reading this, I need more info on that soon...
And then I'll end up at July 4th celebrations in C-Ville after that. From there, I have about 6 weeks left of summer before heading back to school. I predict the rest of my summer to be uneventful, which means I may have some time to work on my computer skill-building projects. Maybe.
So, that's how it's been, how it is, and how it's going to be. Time to get moving.
