Sep. 12th, 2003 12:53 amChemistry was a chore. The work was easy and mindless, but the tedium excessive. First, I had lab, where I spent an hour measuring the decreasing temperature of boiled water in a styrofoam cup and a glass beaker. Then I had the homework due for recitation that day, which was more tedium. Ugh. I finally got it done right before MultiCalc, where I listened to Prather's prattle. OTOH, his quizzes are a cinch; today's was based on the exact same problems we had worked out in the class before. I presented one of them to the class, which gave me a bigger edge. But it's still tedious.
Then we had Chem recitation, where we spent time going over homework. People don't seem to get the difference between a mole of molecules and a mole of atoms. Between that and more worksheet make-work, it was mind-numbing. By the end, my head hurt, my neck ached, and I was tired.
VTSFFC was OK, for the most part. I spent the movie time working on my OOP project. Made a stupid error and wasted a bunch of time. Now I'm just trying to puzzle out one nasty error in my output that displays all of my angles a second off (we're displaying angles in DMS format). I suspect it's a rounding error, except for one exception that printed perfectly. I've emailed McQuain about it. Hopefully, he'll give me some help.
I guess that's it for now. Friday's the breezy day, though I suspect I'll be working on both UNIX and OOP projects. I want to get them both finished before Invisifest. Good frelling luck to me.
