I made it to my Grandma's in WV. Not much to report as of yet, except that 1) Mom's been after me to attend some awards ceremony for my cousin Bryce on Friday, and my lack of desire to spend 2 hours of my life sitting in a gym for 5 minutes of Bryce getting a certificate has led Mom to the conclusion that I don't want to do anything with the family anymore; and 2) my coughing up the last of the mucus from my chest has led Mom to the conclusion that I have some sort of bronchial virus, since in her mind I have had a persistent cough for 2 weeks (I haven't). But that's my silly Mom.

Summoned the courage to check by grades. Aside from having to withdraw from Combinatorics, I got a C in OS and a B- in Professionalism and my Independent Study. Not only is this my highest average GPA in a year, but I don't have to drop that Internet Programming class I was going to take that has OS as a prereq. Yay! I still have to be a student next fall, but I'll only have one course that counts toward graduation; the rest can be easy courses that I can use to boost my GPA!

Other random thoughts: Mom has told me that she'll probably be working Thanksgiving and Christmas next year (2006). Meaning, for the first time, I'll be in Blacksburg for at least Thanksgiving, and possibly Christmas, depending on what kind of thing we do for break that year. I might hold some sort of get-together then, if nobody else does. This, of course, depends on my housing situation next year, which is still up in the air.

I think that's it for now. I have to go to Wal-Mart to fix a firmware problem with Grandma's DVD player (whenever something breaks around here, guess who's the repairman?), as well as get a TracFone card to put on my phone until after break, where I can switch phones.
