I'm back from my whirlwind trip. Went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire today. I was not particularly impressed. They cut out a lot of stuff and changed a good deal of it. Some of the bits were quite silly. They haven't found a better director than Chris Columbus yet, IMO.

Went to TGI Friday's with Mom and her friend Heather. The food was good, though the service was subpar. Mom got pissy about it and made an ass of herself. She got annoyed when the waiter (who was black, meaning that Mom had less tolerance for him fucking up in the first place) didn't do what she expected, even though she didn't tell him what she needed. She wrote "Lousy Service!" on the credit card recipt she had to sign after giving him a 10% tip. My mother, the soul of tact. *rolls eyes*

Got my hair cut today. I wanted to try a new style, but I chickened out. I think I was afraid that Mom and Grandma wouldn't like it; the style I wanted didn't look like I had got my hair cut at all, just rearranged a bit. To be honest, though, I'm not sure what else would look good on me. I've had the haircut I've had for a long time, and I can't see myself in very many other hairstyles.

Other than that, Mom has the DVD box set of The Prisoner, and I'm going to sit down and watch it. My IM-ness will be off and on; the wireless doesn't get far upstairs.
