Well, *that* plan went well...
Dec. 29th, 2003 12:24 amThe theater sold out completely on RoTK this weekend by the time Mom got off work. So we couldn't go see it. We spent the weekend watching the first season of The West Wing on DVD, which Mom bought at Wal-Mart. All I can say is that the networks are going to be making a lot of money off of me...
Anyway, I ordered my wireless adapter for my server. This particular USB adapter turned out to be far cheaper than the PCI cards, which are little more than PCMCIA bridges with questionable Linux support. And this adapter has a Prism ][-series chip, so there's a good chance this one will work. Next to buy is the WAP, which I'll do when my paycheck from the lab gets here a week from this Friday.
I also decided to pick up an S-Video-to-RCA cable for my laptop. So, when my laptop returns from RMA, I'll be able to watch damn near anything on my TV. However, I haven't RMAed it yet, so it might be a while, which is OK, since I paid nothing to get Super Slow Saver Shipping on the cable. It'll be a week.
Anyway, I go into work tomorrow, and GTA3 awaits.
