[livejournal.com profile] vtsffc was a hoot last night. A little background first: That night at Bogen's, I tipped my laptop screen over, inadvertently tipping over [livejournal.com profile] rainbowsaber 's water. She got wet, I apologized, and all was good. Later a discussion brewed at the non-movie end of the table where they decided the new [livejournal.com profile] vtsffc euphemism for anything sexual would be "Clock Radio". Which lead to a discussion about sizes of Clock Radios. I decided to take a swipe at [livejournal.com profile] nius and said he would probably need a small Clock Radio. He replied, "Hey, just because you got [livejournal.com profile] rainbowsaber all wet..." At that point, she started burying her head in her face and squeaking. Everyone, including me, thought it was funny, but I wasn't sure how to interpret that. Hmm.

I have attended my first not-fun [livejournal.com profile] soapvt meeting. We did nothing but talk about business for an hour and a half. Not even [livejournal.com profile] vtsffc talks about business for that long. Granted, we didn't have much else to do because [livejournal.com profile] brenderlin left the games in the trunk of his car parked at Durham, but there was no effort to even think about fetching the games. Everyone left after the business meeting.

I started going to [livejournal.com profile] soapvt meetings because they were fun. We played games all the time, it was a blast -- and something to do after being subjected to all the classes during the week. But with [livejournal.com profile] tigerofthewind taking charge, it's turned into a mini-[livejournal.com profile] vtsffc. He even made me take minutes, for crying out loud. With 16 people, it seems to me like 1) we don't need this much bureaucracy, and 2) that [livejournal.com profile] tigerofthewind is taking his "President" position too seriously. We had some things to talk about, I'll admit, but most of that (coordinating rides, T-shirts, etc.) could have been done through the mailing list. It just irks me that I started this with the understanding it would be an informal thing, and it turns into a business meeting complete with agendas, minutes, and presidential decrees. Ugh.
