Today was interesting. Time warp (or, to be more precise about it, my warped sense of time) caused me to miss UNIX lab today. I believe they were learning how to use vi. Lost 20 points out of 1000 for the semester. Feh. After that, worked on my OOP project. As
robertliguori mentioned, it's quite breezy -- I'm where he's at right now in its development -- which has me wondering what the hell he's up to. But I should finish it by tomorrow, which should give me time to do my moronic UNIX project -- creating a "UNIX command taxonomy", for the gods' sake...
Went to my first SGA meeting today. Lots of introductions, lots of "We're glad you're here"s, and many solicitations for volunteers. No chance to plug Invisifest, except on the listserv for now. For the first few weeks, we're going to be getting acclimated to the way the SGA does business. Whee. At this point, it's hard to say how I feel about the organization. I'll just have to wait and see.
Went to the Amnesty meeting today, though I showed up late due to the SGA meeting. I told them to expect that, and they asked me to be their SGA rep. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem with me, but I only get one vote, and I don't know if VTSFFC would be agreeable to me splitting my vote between them and Amnesty. I agreed to do so in the interim -- since there won't be much to do for the next few weeks -- but I advised them to find someone else. If people object to this, I'll tell them I can't.
The rest of the evening was spent doing Discrete homework whilst talking to
tadakimacun about theatre, high school, and creative uses for undergarments.
Which reminds me -- I wrote that damned quantifiers poem for Discrete. Since I was insane enough to do this thing, I'm going to subject you all to it too:
I am mired in quantifier hell,
The symbols used emphatically.
What they depict, few men can tell.
I am among them -- good for me!
Well, he never gave a length requirement. And if you think I'm going to write eleven stanzas about logical quantifiers, you're N-V-T-S nuts!
