Andrew, don't worry about it. This is not a situation of right or wrong, don't beat yourself up about being "wrong".
Your teacher is obviously not making a clear enough distinction between mathematical logic and the logic that humans use in everyday life. All your points are valid, your professor is just failing to make himself clear. If he was then you wouldn't be confused.
