Gnome's been pretty well-behaved so far (I'm writing this in Gnome). I haven't done anything incredibly deep with it yet, but I imagine I will in some point in time. My big complaint about Gnome (on this version, at least) is that I'm stuck with Mozilla 1.3 for web browsing at this point. Ugh.
I actually switch back and forth between Gnome and KDE most of the time. Depends on what kind of mood I'm in. I will, occasionally, open up WindowMaker or FVWM for a change of pace.
