Returning

I made it back safely the day before last at 16:30. Ironically, the traffic in C-Ville proved to be worse than the traffic on 81. As such, after getting food, I got home around 20:00.

Finished my semester. Got a B- in my independent study. Not sure about OS and Professionalism. I'm more worried about OS -- Professionalism final was a breeze, six subjective questions about what one should do in various situations. I choked a bit on the OS final, mainly because it wasn't quite as cumulative as I'd hoped. Ah well. We'll find out soon, I guess.

Had to withdraw from Combinatorics. As such, I'm going to be here an extra semester, since it was a prereq for a theory course and they don't offer it in the summer. Mom took the news better than I expected, but still has concerns about what I'll do, where I'll live, what jobs I'll have, how will I get into grad school (grad school? I'm trying to survive regular school, thanks...), etc. I've thought about some of these concerns, and I'm going to try to address them this spring.

I've thrown in with tigerofthewind and anterus on trying to find decent off-campus housing. Any advice in that regard would be helpful. I'm going to talk to Anne at work to see if I can transfer to 4Help starting this summer. That'll keep me in job for a year. Next is lining up a job for the future. Atma's trying to get me to work at Echostar when they roll out Dish Broadband. That would require a car, but it pays well. Hmm. Maybe.

I go to my grandma's in WV on Tuesday, and I'll stay there until Monday. Mom works that night. But I'll still have the dialup, thank gods.
