Happenings
Feb. 6th, 2005 03:19 am- I was out of town this past weekend for an academic tournament. We won the losers bracket. Whee.
- Before that, I attended the judically mandated ethics course. Not as moronic as I thought it would be, but still a waste of time. At least it's over with.
- I got a conditional housing contract from RDP. This means I get last pick of housing after the freshmen. Meanwhile, we get temp space in study areas, RA rooms, etc. until we can find a place of our own. This surprises me, as I heard that RDP didn't have that many applicants this year. Anyway, I'm seeing what Anne (my boss on the computing side) or Nupur (my boss on the housing side) can do about this, since I believe I've proven my worth as RCC and they'd want me back. Otherwise, I don't think I'll be accepting it; I'd probably get stuck in Pritchard again, and without Robert as my roomie. Not good, by any means.
- I got an email from the library. Apparently, one of my books has been asked for by someone else, and they've shortened the due date by two weeks. To me, that's screwed up; where I come from, if someone wanted a book that was checked out, they placed the book on hold until the person who has it out got it back, but they wouldn't shorten the due date to get it back faster. It's not important this time; I had gotten my use out of the book anyway. But a practice like that strikes me as sorta rude.
Anyway, I'm going to get some sleep. I'd be going to Chubb's party tomorrow, but I would need a ride, and I don't know if I could find one on such short notice.
