(no subject)

Right now, I have been trusted with the following:

• Treasurer of Spiel
• Treasurer of VTSFFC
• Webmaster of Spiel
• Webmaster of ACO (this just tonight -- apparently, I was voted in in absentia. Hmm.)

In other news, I have a functioning server -- Slackware has Apache configured out of the box, apparently. I just need a wired router to hook it up to (wireless turns out to be too expensive, really). I was in the process of negotiating a deal with someone on the CS Forums for a wired router when Kafura pulled the plug on the off-topic boards, citing concern for the image of the CS department in the face of a few immature posters. Grr. Damn politics...of all the departments to be political, why oh why does it have to be CS?

But meanwhile, I can come up with content to put on this server of mine...Hmm...

Arrggh! Dammit!

I applied for an RCC job a while back. I just got an email saying I'm not what they're looking for in an RCC, but I'm on a wait list to be a Get Connected team member this August. Meaning that I have a very slim chance to get a computer job this fall.

This fucking sucks. I'm going to need a break soon, or else I may end up flipping burgers when I graduate for lack of work experience.
