Feb. 15th, 2004 01:50 amToday's been a day of spontaneous events. nius and
rainbowsaber got married today, after announcing it last night. Woke up, got my camera, and bolted to make the bus over. It was a good event. I stayed for the reception at the bride & groom's apartment for about an hour or so, then got back to campus to get lunch and games for Poker day at Lisa's house. Poker was played, as well as Pac-Man Vs. and Evo (board game with dinosaurs). We went to dinner at Macado's somewhere in there. Left about 23:30. A good day.
In other news, my laptop now dual-boots Windows XP and Slackware Linux. Some of the stuff doesn't work -- the NDIS wrapper (compilation error in Linux driver code) and the sound (no clue WTF is up with it) being two glaring examples. Not to mention that, for some odd reason, at startup, it tries to modprobe my eithernet card a bunch of times when it's already been loaded. The result is a flurry of messages that adds about 10 seconds to my boot time. Not cool. So I have to figure out what's happening there. Otherwise...
Other misc stuff: Got an accommodation letter to Brown, got offered an on-campus housing contract, got birthday presents for tadakimacun, got a 76 on my last Chem test, and got no V-Day cards in the mail.
tadakimacun did, however, email me one tonight. Thanks, Tada!
