Feb. 3rd, 2004 11:28 pmI'm not dead, just busy trying to get this CS project completed. Most of the stuff has been coded and debugged (nius was right; I forgot an ampersand), and now all I have left to do is the text parser for reading the input files. But I'll do that tomorrow, as Chem Lab stuff took up most of my evening. Hand-copying the safety rules took longer than the prelab questions due to long, convoluted clauses, and an abject refusal to abbreviate "laboratory". Is there any reason why they they do this, or is it just to give us poor slobs force to copy the rules a hard time?
Mom called, wanted to know if I got a job yet. I said no, and got the usual scolding about how it's nice to have money. Yeah, Mom, and it's also nice to not fail, either. It wasn't all my fault, I explained to her; after all, the email was down, and the person I called about the job at the Biotech Center wasn't returning my calls. She backed down, but not after I promised to keep her informed of my current job status. Oy.
Anyway, I'll play a bit, then sleep.
