Mom called today. Our cat Noel died in the night.

We found her on Christmas Day 1995 (hence the name) at my grandma's house, huddled under my grandfather's boat, mewling. She was cute, and nobody else wanted her, so we drove her down to Virginia. There she stayed. She was a nutty cat, and an attention whore. But I liked her, and I'm gonna miss her.

*hugs* It's always too soon to lose a loved one - furry loved ones included.
Still, your family gave her a much better and longer life than she'd have had as a stray. We give each other the best that we can, while we can.
