So this is it. The US is attacking Iraq. It's a sad day. I just came back from the "town meeting" that Steger and the gang set up in the coliseum. They were talking about the need for police presences at all public gatherings, 24-hour security guards in all free-access buildings, and how they would help international students. It seemed almost surreal. Like Tech would be a prime terrorist target.

I see this war as a sign that the man in the White House no longer respects the opinions of the public or the world. Many civilians will die, our economy will be wrecked, and our name thorughout the world will be tarnished because one man thought we should have a war.

I feel ashamed for my country.

"Start of ground war boosts stocks"

We've got a president with questionable intelligence getting his military groove on, but at least we'll be able to afford it.

(insert huge doses of irony and sarcasm here)
Well...In Theory, the Radford Arsenal (they make rocket explosives and propellant) goes into blackout conditions in the event of air raids or some such. Guess which bright, lights-on-all-night-so-the-chickies-won't-get-raped, illuminated target is nearest? That's right, the Drillfield and/or the Stadium. Home sweet whatever.
