Well, I survived getting back to my mom's house in one piece. There, I've done a couple of things. Went to a Christmas party thrown by my Mom's work. Though they had DIY gingerbread men, nobody my mom or I (I spent some time at the lab a while back, as many recall) knew were there, so we took off after an hour. I finished A Game of Thrones, which wasn't as horribly depressing as I thought it was going to be. And I've been going through my mom's DVD collection, finishing off the first and second seasons of the original Star Trek (I've already watched most of the third).

Right now, I'm at Grandma's, where we always go for holidays. So far, I've been subjected to very little grief, but I've only been here a day. Doubtless I will tomo...er, today, but that'll come when it does.

Meanwhile, I've learned that I will be getting paid on the 1st (huzzah), and so I'll probably go ahead and buy a badge for Origins. Finding a hotel room/ride over will be a problem, as nobody's organizing one (to my knowledge). I'd do it, but I have little experience, as well as no idea how much interest there would be. Hmm...

Not sure what I'll be doing the next few weeks. Staying home for New Years', no doubt, as Mom's working. Somewhere in there I have to go make the characters for the one-shot D&D campaign I'm doing when I get back. Other than that, who knows?
