Yay, I'm 22!

It's my birthday, and acid_rose gave me the idea of a birthday meme. Go to Wikipedia, in their calendar section, and pick out three nifty facts, two births, and one death.

Three Nifty Facts:

• 1205 - Battle of Adrianople between Bulgars and Crusaders. (A mention of it occurs in an episode of a certain sci-fi series...a cookie if you can tell me which one. ^_^)
• 1846 - The Donner Party of pioneers departs Springfield, Illinois, for California, on what will become a year-long journey of hardship, cannibalism, and survival.
• 2003 - Human Genome Project successfully completed with 99% of the human genome sequenced to 99.99% accuracy.

Two Births:

• 1629 - Christiaan Huygens, Dutch mathematician & astronomer (d. 1695)
• 1977 - Sarah Michelle Gellar, American actress

One Death: 1759 - George Frideric Handel, German composer (b. 1685)
