What I have been doing since Xmas:

  • Watching movies and TV shows on DVD. Saw Pirates of the Caribbean a few days ago. A good movie, with a good mix of humor, swordplay, and Keira Knightley. (Mmm, Keira Knightley...*drool*) Jack Sparrow reminds me so much of [livejournal.com profile] nviiibrown it's creepy.
  • Playing PS2, particularly Grand Theft Auto (3 and Vice City). Listening to the talk radio tracks in those games amuses me. The people in them are so caricatured. The games themselves are OK. I can't decide which one I like more. The main difference between them is that Vice City has a storyline and more things to do. I should probably play more before reaching any conclusions.
  • Reading. Before Xmas, I read Cetaganda, which is part of Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan series. In it, Miles Vorkosigan, on a diplomatic mission to the seat of the Cetagandan Empire to attend their empress's funeral, gets caught up in the internal politics of the empire. I found it quite good. Now I'm reading Dune, which is proving to me to be a good read. I've only gotten to about page 60 (of ~500) at this point, since work takes up a bit of my time right now.
  • Working. Worked New Year's, at Mom's suggestion. Very quiet, but I was bored out of my skull. So far, the job is about like it was last summer -- tiring, boring, and sometimes annoying. I'll be glad to get back to school in two weeks.

What I'm doing soon:

  • Hopefully, seeing RoTK today. If you seen my LJ in the past few days, you know that my previous attempts to see the movie have failed. But Mom's going to the box office when it opens to get tickets, so I'm not worried.
  • Seeing [livejournal.com profile] robertliguori and [livejournal.com profile] tadakimacun. Rob was sick last time and couldn't make it. Talked to [livejournal.com profile] tadakimacun last night for a while. In any case, they should be coming, if Rob can get the car.
  • Getting my laptop back. This was kinda annoying -- When I called Dell tech support, they sent Airborne Express down that same night to pick up my laptop. The day after (10/31), they sent me an empty repair return box. I tried calling to see what was going on, but the Indian guy at the other end didn't understand what I wanted. It was frustrating trying to talk to him.

Anyway, someone walking in almost confused me for an anaesthesiology resident they were expecting, so I better go.
