It's been a long time since I've posted something substantial. I should change this.

The past couple of weeks has been eventful. My Mom and I wanted to get info on buying a class ring, so I went to Ring Premiere. Lots of smoke, colored lights, and lasers; I felt like I was in high school again. (C'mon, a moment of silence?) Luckily, Kristen, a fellow RCC, was there to joke about it with. Eventually, after a bunch of long-winded speeches and stuff, I was able to get info. That made Mom happy, and I ordered the ring the next day.

Meanwhile, my watch battery died after about two years of service. The trouble was finding someone to replace it -- I took one look inside that case, and thought better about doing it myself. So I took it to Mal-Wart, where I had bought it, to get it fixed. They said they needed to mail it to Casio to fix it. Not wanting to wait 6 weeks for a watch battery replacement, I went to the mall later, only to find that none of the jewelers would do it either. Radio Shack finally did it. So now I have a new watch battery, but I still need to get the watch resealed. I don't know where to go for that, though, as the jewelers in the mall won't do it. Meanwhile, I have ~$50 worth of games to play with. Whee, I spend too much money...

RCC training happened this past Thursday. Half of the meeting's activities were (ugh) team-building exercises, and the other half of them were mostly lessons on how to do stuff I already knew how to do anyway. At the end, we were put in teams to build the biggest free-standing structure made out of balloons and duct tape. After which, of course, we had to pop the balloons. I never had a good reaction to the sound of balloons popping in the first place, and then someone popped one right in my fucking face. I was half-ready to kill him.

SOAP was an interesting experience. In our game of Star Munchkin, someone was facing a Level 18 Plasmoid on his first turn. [livejournal.com profile] robertliguori and I attempt to assist the poor sap, who has all of a +1 attack bonus. [livejournal.com profile] cerisewolf is about to leave, but before he does he plays the "...and its clone" card, giving us two L18 Plasmoids to fight. The sap and I die trying to run away. Little shit.

We had a [livejournal.com profile] technicon meeting today to discuss hotel space. [livejournal.com profile] robertliguori, [livejournal.com profile] vt_komainu, and myself were the only attendees. Right now, we're still nowhere. Then we had Game Day, where [livejournal.com profile] nixve brought American Megafauna, a really interesting and educational game that took the whole time I was there. But I had a lot of fun, though. I had them all fearing my FLYING FURRY REPTILE ARMY OF DOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!ONE

Something's been bothering me. Since Thursday, I have been particularly edgy. I've been snapping at people. I think the stress from SE (which is about to reach a pivotal point) and OS are getting to me. Here's hoping I can survive Thanksgiving without getting myself committed. In the meantime, I apologize to the people I've unjustly snapped at.
