So, King Kong didn't really happen. Instead, Mom got me up to go get the new phone. After she went to go get the car washed, that is. Wanted it to look pretty when she parked it in Grandma's driveway in front of all her sisters with higher-paying jobs. *sigh*

Having found out on the Internet forums that Verizon would do better than Sprint for Blacksburg, I go to the local Best Buy to try to get service (having no Verizon stores in C-Ville). They couldn't help me, and suggested I try Richmond. Yeah, like Mom's gonna drive 90 minutes for me to get a phone. Twits. So I settle for getting some cheap Kubrick movies (A Clockwork Orangeand Full Metal Jacket, in case you're curious) and head off.

Calling Radio Shack (the other retail chain that sells Verizon) tells me that they don't sell Verizon in C-Ville either. Frigging Sprint pseudo-monopoly. At this point, it's probably easier to wait until after I get back to switch phones.
