I'm still alive...
...if that's what people were worried about. Have my computer hooked up (duh), and have been unpacking. Mom showed up about 12 or so. It took her an hour to find a parking space to accommodate the 14-foot truck she was stuck with. Ended up parking near Owens, so it took forever to cart the heavy stuff down the really indirect wheelchair ramp -- I feel sorry for the disabled students on campus. Later, she found a parking space closer to the dorm. But we still left around 8:30 or so, since Mom couldn't lift anything. So she did the packing and I did the loading. Which made for slow going, since I had a lot of stuff. But I left all the same, got in around 11 to the sound of pouring rain.
Still miss people. It's creepy beng cooped up in the house like this. Back in B-Burg, I tried to get out often. But that's when I was within walking distance to everything. Now, with no car and no easy access to things, I miss that. Ah well. At least I can go for walks. Walks are good.
Mom says I should be expecting a call from Human Resources within the next few days. Hopefully, it will be productive. Cross your fingers for me.
