So, 2 weeks before I go back to school, and so far everything's hunky-dory. Got my first paycheck last week and spent it on a bunch of computer junk -- more RAM for the computer, a bigger memory card for my camera, the DOOM trilogy, and Jedi Outcast (which just dropped to $10 at Wally World). Jedi Outcast is pretty fun for the price.
Mom got the second season of Andromeda. Darker than the first -- didn't like it. Third season, they say, will be better, but Mom will wait for the DVD box set to come out, and Season 2 was just released this past Tuesday.
Work is still kinda boring. Due to a mix-up, I can't test my program on the hardware until the proper cable is made on Monday. So I've been goofing off. I never knew you could get this bored on the internet. Someone high up in our department has scheduled a day trip for all the summer interns next Wednesday, which entails going to Norfolk (I think) for some product demonstration. I don't expect it to be a ball, but lunch will be served, and it'll get me out of the office for a day.
Meanwhile, packing has started to go forward. I've been inching somewhat for a while now, but I'm going to have to take a serious swing at it tonight. With luck, I can reduce my load to an appreciable size by the time I have to go back.
Looking back on what I've written, this looks boring as hell. *sigh* Such is my life.
